director / teacher
Karen Tillma has been the head teacher since August 2000. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and an associate’s degree in Early Childhood. She taught Head Start for 10 years before joining the staff at Emanuel Lutheran Church. In 2014 she was trained in S.M.A.R.T. Pre-K, an early childhood development program designed to engage children’s bodies and minds for success in all aspects of learning. She is married and has three grown children of her own. She loves children and strives to make learning fun through hands on activities.
Lori Stuckey has been the assistant teacher since August 2005. She has always had a passion for working with young children. She babysat often in high school and college, and ran her own in-home daycare for 9 years. She is married and has four grown children and several grandchildren.
Lisa is the office manager for the church. She also helps the preschool with administrative duties.
