Karen has been the head teacher at Emanuel Lutheran Church since 2000. She has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and an associate's degree in Early Childhood. She taught Head Start for 10 years before joining the staff at Emanuel. In 2014, she was trained in S.M.A.R.T. Pre-K. She is married and has three grown children. She likes to read, camp, spend time with family, participate in church activities/bible study and eating out. She loves children and strives to make learning fun through hands-on activities.

Nora started working at Emanuel Lutheran Preschool in 2019. She has a degree in Environmental Education. She is from Mexico and has lived in Milbank for six years. She is married and has one daughter. She enjoys reading, camping and riding a bicycle. Nora also works part-time at the Tliolli Hispanic Grocery Store in Milbank.
